I graduated from Damascus medical school in 2005. Residency was in UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh, PA. Although I trained in Medicine, I have a special interest in Infectious disease field. I also have passion and deep interest in teaching medical students and residents, as I really enjoy it. In terms of Recognitions in the past. I graduated medical school with an honor and the rank of second on the class. Not only upon graduation, was I honored, I also had the first rank in 2nd, and 3rd years of medical school. Also I was ranked second in 4th year. Upon high school graduation, I had the first student award in the Syrian national exam ( 1 of 20000 students) . During residency training, I was a co-author of a paper that got the Stephen Vogel award, as a top paper by a resident/fellow published in United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology Jornals, 2009. ( The Significance of Renal C4d Staining in Patients with BK Viruria, Viremia, and Nephropathy).
