Addiction Medicine NP/PA Per-Diem Overnights

Seeking both per diem and part-time nurse practitioners or PA’s with either previous addiction experience or those looking to gain experience in the treatment of substance use disorders (SUD).

The field of addiction medicine is growing quickly, and this position will enable you to gain experience providing wide-ranging treatment in the area of addiction medicine as part of the team for inpatient detoxification and rehabilitation services.

The right candidate will have an opportunity to work with a committed team of professionals to provide increased access to evidence-based SUD treatments.

A buprenorphine waiver and experience with inpatient detoxification/rehabilitation a plus but not necessary.

Highlights include:
  • Assessment and management of candidates presenting with withdrawal symptoms.
  • Coordinate patients’ progress and treatment plans with an active multi-disciplinary team including counselors, nursing, and psychiatry.
  • Evaluate patients for medication-assisted treatments, working collaboratively with staff to ensure continuity of care after discharge.

Breast Nurse Practitioner Full-Time Days
This is an excellent opportunity for a Full-Time position with Private Hospital Medical Group for a Breast Center Nurse Practitioner to join our surgical outpatient practice in Westchester County. Symphony Medical PC and St. Johns Riverside Hospital are seeking an experienced breast care Nurse Practitioner to work with our Breast Surgery team in our renowned Breast Center located in Yonkers, NY and Dobbs Ferry, NY. The position will be exclusively focused on providing comprehensive breast services across the system. 
The ideal candidate will have experience in both outpatient and operative management of breast care, will bring an entrepreneurial spirit to expanding our successful Breast Center, and will work collaboratively with the Breast Surgery team as well as lead specialists in oncology, plastic surgery, pathology, and radiology to continue providing excellent care to patients.

Medical Assistant Full-Time and Part-Time

The Medical Assistant (MA) is responsible for assisting physician with clerical duties, patient flow, patient care, and procedures.

Essential Job functions:

· Assists with maintaining patient flow to and from exam rooms and treatment areas. Assists in escorting patients.

· Obtain vital signs, weights, and Electrocardiograms (EKG) when needed. Assist with blood collection phlebotomy as needed. Ensure chart is available, with relevant lab work and test reports if indicated, for physician when the physician sees the patient. Assists physicians and APP with procedures.

· Ensure exam rooms and treatment areas are cleaned after each patient leaves and prepared for the next patient. Assist with light housekeeping duties which include spills. Assists patient with obtaining food, toileting, ambulating and maintaining comfort.

· Obtains vital signs: BP, temp, pulse, height & weight accurately and completely as required.

· Documents appropriately in EHR. Documenting H&P, ROS, PE, and vitals.

· Appropriately enters orders and schedules appointments in the EHR.

· Assures completion of patient charges as per policy.

· Employs appropriate and timely use of Tasking in EHR.

· Clean and sterilize designated equipment after use. Answers telephone in treatment area and assists staff in scheduling treatments. Assists patients and communicates with Physicians to obtain prescription renewals as needed.

· Stock exam room treatment rooms with medical supplies, linen, and designated chart forms.

· Assists with training of new Medical Assistants. May perform administrative responsibilities as needed.

· Provides referrals and/or consult orders appropriately and in a timely manner in the EHR.

· Appropriately adheres to universal safety precautions when administering medications and disposal of medical waste.

Revenue Cycle Manager Full-Time
Job Description
The Revenue Cycle Manager is responsible for constructing and overseeing a billing department for a multi-specialty practice caring for patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. They will be responsible for leading the coordination of the practice revenue cycle. The ideal candidate must have strong managerial, leadership, and business office skills, including critical thinking, customer service, and multi-tasking abilities.

  • Implement and manage internal billing processes and procedures.
  • Oversee and optimize processes for verification of patient benefits.
  • Organize and manage a billing team of medical billers that will handle daily billing functions.
  • Process in and out of network claim types.
  • Negotiate out-of-network reimbursement, based on determining criteria for max reimbursement.
  • Prepare and submit clean claims using various methods.
  • Identify and resolve patient billing complaints.
  • Send appeals for: low reimbursement, no authorizations, timely filing, medical necessity etc. with correct documentation.
  • Educate and coach physicians and billing teams on appropriate coding.
  • Follow-up and report status of delinquent accounts.
  • Perform various collection actions including contacting patients as well as appealing, correcting and/or resubmitting claims to third party payers.
  • Establish payment plans to help patients manage payment of bills.
  • Send delinquent accounts to collection agencies.
  • Respond to patient billing and statement inquiries.
  • Prepare financial reports and present to company leadership
Education/Experience Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of billing and medical coding experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience with EHR and Practice Management systems (Athenahealth and Meditech strongly preferred)
  • Background in leadership or management role preferred.
  • Coding Certification strongly preferred (Certified Coding Specialist or Certified Professional Coder)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of NY State and Federal billing regulations
  • Clear understanding and working knowledge of claims processing, payer denials and appeals processes.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a cross-functional team environment by collaborating with others and sharing tools, skills, and knowledge.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills that demonstrate resourcefulness and attention to detail.
  • In-depth knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care and Commercial plans. Ability to negotiate contracts with insurance companies to ensure favorable payment.
  • Experience with payments, reconciliations, and claims.
  • Strong understanding of NPI, taxonomy and claim submission requirements.
  • Up to date knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT Codes
  • Multispecialty billing preferred (Medical + Surgery); Orthopedics billing a plus.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office, including advanced experience with excel.
  • Strong accounting and financial reporting skills.
